With big dreams of moving to the city and launching an editorial career, Emily moved to Chicago just a week or two after graduation, took a left turn, and found herself cruising pedal-to-the-metal down the road of recruitment. She began her career recruiting for corporate support positions, which included a wide variety of functions and allowed Emily to learn a bit about a lot of things. In doing so, she developed a strong business acumen to instinctively understand business needs and recognize the vital role talent plays. Emily comes to Buckingham Search as an experienced and successful recruiter, excited about the accounting and finance world. Her Professional Writing degree from Michigan State University (plus a minor in public relations) gives Emily a unique flair to bring to her candidate and client interactions. No matter who she is working with, Emily is most passionate about learning peoples’ stories and thrives when she can make a genuine impact, connect dots that others might have overlooked, and ultimately help people achieve their goals.

Outside of work, Emily loves to be active whether it’s running on the lakefront, hitting the gym, or trying a new workout class, Emily is typically on-the-go. She also loves checking out cute coffee shops & boutiques in the city with friends, finding good eats, and she enjoys cooking/experimenting with new recipes she finds on Pinterest. One day when she can find the time, Emily hopes to revisit her dormant hobby of writing – author a book? Start a blog? – we’ll see!
